Beet Hummus Recipe: Beet Hunger with this Protein Packed Snack developed by Nutritionist, Morgan Rozon

This vibrant and nutrient-packed beet hummus recipe makes for the perfect, high protein & fibre snack that both mom and baby can enjoy. We love pairing it with some sliced veggies or nut and seed crackers.

Wholesyum Beet Hummus Recipe by Morgan Rozon, Registered Holistic Nutritionist.

Ingredients:

  • 2 WholesYum Baby beet puree packs

  • 1 (15 oz) can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • Juice from ½ of a lemon

  • Lemon zest from 1 lemon

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • 1-2 tsp minced garlic (depending on preference)

  • ¼ cup olive oil 

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Thaw beet puree packs. 

  2. Add chickpeas, beet puree, lemon, garlic, tahini, salt and pepper to a food processor. Blend until combined. 

  3. Slowly pour in the olive oil as the food processor is running and blend until a smooth texture is created. 

  4. Taste test and add more salt, pepper, or garlic depending on preference. 

  5. Store in the fridge for 5-7 days.
